T.T (Tectonic Tears) Engine is a science fiction series about radical speculation about a prototype device that converts tears into an energy source through an artificial system of DIY (Do it Yourself) electronic components and digital program experimentation. This work criticizes energy resources which are often monopolized or controlled by a overpower of parties, while at the same time asking why various conflicts in developing countries always end in suffering, huge gaps in inequality, and pessimism as a culture of excuses, which in the end are just tears that become emotional waste and continues to be produced massively every time the tragedy appears for free.
The shape of this work is taken from tears that appear on crystals when viewed through a microscope lens, distorting them into extreme and tense forms. The medium combines analog sound that illustrates crying from tears in a tube that is generated using DIY electronic components, and hand-drawn animation on several screens as the main face of this creature.
