X-SPIDERPUNX is an art installation project featuring a giant spider tank measuring 4 meters. it’s made of iron and using an analog drive machine, equipped with electronic devices and 4 LED monitors that play digital animation.

This Tank is operated by a sunny baby this work, imagines a time in the future when human modification to attain genius can be done early since babyhood. A child prodigy could design robot and operate a demolishing machine like a toy, an interpretation of Prim, a character in Getaran (1972), Djoko Lelono’s novel, the pioneer of science fiction literature in Indonesia.

X-SPIDERPUNX was exhibited at the National Gallery of Indonesia in 2019, as a commission work for the international media art festival “INSTRUMENTA”
